Hi, I'm Nicole. I run Project Social from Yarragon, in the heart of West Gippsland, and I help small businesses across Australia get their marketing sorted, without the agency price tag or the corporate runaround.
I started Project Social because I kept seeing the same problem: businesses handing their marketing to people who were winging it. They deserved better. So I built something to fix that.
MY STORY
How I got here
"Marketing should feel like a conversation, not a campaign."
I fell in love with marketing at university while studying for my Bachelor of Commerce. From there I worked my way up through social media management, into a marketing role at a hospitality venue, and then into tourism. Along the way I noticed something that kept bothering me: businesses were handing their marketing to people who were figuring it out as they went. No strategy. No real understanding of what they were doing. Just vibes and a Canva account.
Project Social was my answer to that. I built it to give small businesses access to marketing that's actually grounded in knowledge and experience, not guesswork. Today I work primarily with events and event-based businesses, as well as service businesses getting their social media and ads set up properly for the first time.
Alongside Project Social, I work as Marketing Coordinator for Park Lane Group, managing marketing across a portfolio of Australian caravan parks. That role keeps me sharp on what works at a local and regional level, and it's directly informed how I approach marketing for the small business clients I work with.
I'm Google Ads certified, I've managed Meta campaigns across a range of industries, and I've built Squarespace websites for businesses that needed a professional online presence without a $10k price tag. But what I'm most proud of is being the person clients call when they're overwhelmed, because they know they'll get a straight answer and someone who'll actually follow through.
